What you’ll achieve
PowerStore Data Path Engineering team at Dell USS constantly push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of Big Data storage and distributed systems. We are a true systems company and work at every layer of the storage stack, including all aspects of operating systems and file systems, distributed algorithms, high-performance protocol stacks, and next-generation virtualization technology.
You will be part of Engineering development team, where software engineers constantly push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of storage and distributed systems. You will:
• Collaborate with software engineers to review requirements, identify test gaps, and improve testability. Review and implement test strategies for software products
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for PowerStore features across functional, integration, and system levels
•Prepare written specifications for tasks of varied complexity from verbal requirements
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites, primarily using Python
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated tests into Jenkins-based workflows

Essential Requirements
• University degree and min. 5 years of Python, C/C++ development experience
• Good knowledge of Python, operating systems; firmware; device drivers; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities, as applicable
• Knowledge of server, storage, networking technologies
• Hands-on experience with test design, including functional, integration, and system testing
• Familiarity with Linux environments, including command-line tools and basic system debugging
• Working knowledge of Jenkins (or similar CI tools) and Git-based version control
Desirable Requirements
• Experience testing storage, virtualization, or infrastructure software
• Exposure to performance, scale, or reliability testing in complex systems
• Experience working in agile or CI/CD-driven development environments
