A Business Analyst is a facilitator who works closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze requirements, and define solutions. They act as a liaison between the business and the technical teams, ensuring that the final product aligns with business goals and delivers value.
What You'll Do:

• Data Mapping & Modelling: Ability to identify , document, and visualize data flows and relationships across platforms and departments.

• Platform Analysis: Understanding of digital platforms, especially those used in research and data management environments.

• Database Ecosystem Familiarity: Experience with database structures and ecosystems (e.g., understanding components like Carnot).

• Process Mapping: Skill in documenting and analyzing business processes and workflows.

• Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with IT, software product teams, and department managers to gather requirements and validate findings.

• Remote Collaboration: Proficiency in virtual communication tools and asynchronous coordination.

• Data Governance & Stewardship: Understanding of data ownership, quality, and compliance

What You'll Bring:

• A relevant Bachelors or higher-education degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.

• Familiarity with research environments, particularly in pharmaceutical or biotech settings, is a plus.

• Business Analysis Frameworks: Use of tools like Visio, Miro or similar for process and system documentation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft tools, Azure DevOps, Confluence (JIRA), or similar platforms for maintaining structured documentation.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

• 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role

• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Ability to travel to other client offices or locations as needed.

• Strong communications skills.

Travel:
Travel is a requirement at ZS for client facing ZSers; business needs of your project and client are the priority. While some projects may be local, all client-facing ZSers should be prepared to travel as needed.
