Job Description
The Software Quality Lead will report to the Manager of Software Quality within the Supply Chain function and will support Motorola LMR Products and Services. This individual will be a “change agent” and will integrate quality checks throughout the development cycle of software tools and applications. This individual will be ensuring the development team integrates quality checks throughout the product development process. This role will also be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of processes and procedures used for improving the efficiency of quality assurance.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or similar STEM degree (Master’s preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in either software development or manufacturing.
Background in LMR, telecom, or mission-critical communications products.
Expertise in quality processes and metrics
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, scrum and Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as EasyBI, Tableau
Proficiency in (Product Lifecycle Management) PLM
Working understanding of automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as C#, Java Script, CSS/HTML, Typescript, and SQL
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Certification in quality assurance, or Six Sigma belt holder is a plus.
