Software QA Specialist (Manual & Automation) - Full time | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

General Description of the Position:
We are looking for an QA Specialist to use your knowledge of manual and automated testing to place some complex and well engineered web based applications, RESTful APIs and other applications under incredible stress to drive quality. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly through building and maintaining automation frameworks.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Participate or lead design of automated test framework and strategies
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute performance, scalability, functional and regression testing
- Technical ownership of key automation assets, including roadmaps and technical direction
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Prepare test scripts based on analysis of requirement to detect usability and performance issues.
- Prepare documentation on automated testing, set the priority for automation scenarios and work to maximize test coverage
- Reporting and documenting technical issues
Ideally You Should Have:
- Proven; 1-2 years work experience in total as a Software Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge and experience in software development life cycle
- Working knowledge of Cypress, Katalon Studio, Appium, Selenium and other relevant automation tools for Web, IOS, or Android application
- Experience with task management tools similar to Jira and Xray
- Strong organizational & communication skills with strong sense of ownership
- Attention to detail
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude

- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
