Role OverviewTo support our continued growth in Malaysia, Capco is seeking high‑calibre Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts with strong experience in banking or financial services.
In this role, you will work closely with clients, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, support technology and business transformation initiatives, and deliver high‑quality consulting outcomes. You will be expected to operate confidently in fast‑paced, regulated environments and contribute both to project delivery and to Capco’s broader consulting capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Management- Facilitate and participate in client meetings and workshops, capturing and documenting business needs effectively
- Conduct structured requirements gathering, research, and analysis, identifying gaps between current and future state
- Develop business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, and functional specifications
- Document business processes, data flows, application and technology requirements, and business rules
- Translate business requirements into clear inputs for technology teams and delivery partners
- Analyse and propose enhancements to business processes, systems, reports, and applications to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Support business process modelling, logical data models, standards, and design artefacts
- Document, analyse, and support resolution of system defects, ensuring technical compatibility and strong end‑user experience
- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, providing clarification on requirements and solution design
- Conduct customer interviews and produce concise, high‑quality meeting summaries and analysis outputs
- Support testing activities and double as QA when required, ensuring solutions meet business intent
- Produce high‑quality consulting deliverables, including client presentations, reports, and proposals
- Support business development efforts through market, client, and industry research
- Develop re‑usable intellectual capital, such as templates, methodologies, blueprints, and business cases
- Guide and support junior Business Analysts within project teams
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services environments
- Strong capability in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and translating business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Experience working across technology‑enabled transformation initiatives in regulated industries
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior client stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality
Experience in one or more of the following banking / financial services domains is strongly preferred:
- Banking channels and digital platforms
- Payments and ISO 20022
- Managed solutions and customer journeys
- Data management and reporting
- Experience with requirement analysis tools and methodologies (e.g. UML, RUP, Agile / Waterfall)
- Comfort supporting solution design, testing activities, and delivery planning
- Exposure to basic scripting, documentation standards, and project planning
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency is a strong advantage, given client and market needs
- Work exclusively with leading banks and financial institutions on meaningful transformation programmes
