Meet the Team
The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi.
Your Impact
As a Technical Lead, you will drive architecture and technical direction for radio software across multiple platforms. You will ensure seamless integration between firmware, drivers, and system layers while enabling advanced Wi-Fi features.
- Define architecture for radio firmware and driver subsystems
- Lead cross-functional efforts to deliver complex Wi-Fi features
- Drive system-level design across firmware, driver, and networking layers
- Work with chipset vendors on roadmap alignment and technical issues
- Guide debugging of the most complex wireless system issues
- Mentor engineers and influence engineering practices across teams
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the team
Minimum Qualifications
- BE/BTech with 10+ Years of experience or ME/MTech with 8+ Years of experience in wireless systems or embedded software
- Deep expertise in 802.11 protocols and wireless system design
- Strong understanding of firmware, drivers, and system architecture
- Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives
- Strong debugging and system-level problem-solving skills
- Experience influencing architecture and technical direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with upstream driver contributions
- Experience working deeply with chipset vendors
- Strong knowledge of wireless performance tuning and RF systems
