Join Cisco's Connectivity and Wireless Engineering team, where we are building next-generation communication solutions powered by LEO satellite networks, Starlink wireless backhaul, Direct-to-Cell services, 5G, and advanced cellular gateway technologies. As a QA Technical Leader, you will drive quality strategy, automation, and system validation for cutting-edge satellite and wireless networking platforms while partnering closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Network Operations teams.
Your ImpactAs a QA Technical Leader, you will:
Lead the QA strategy, validation planning, and test execution for satellite-enabled connectivity solutions.
Define end-to-end test architectures, automation frameworks, quality metrics, and continuous testing practices.
Drive validation of LEO satellite, Starlink, LTE/5G, cellular gateway, and enterprise networking solutions.
Lead root cause analysis, defect management, and quality improvement initiatives across complex networking systems.
Mentor and guide QA engineers while collaborating with cross-functional engineering, product, and operations teams.
Leverage AI-powered testing techniques and intelligent automation to improve product quality and engineering productivity.
Influence technical direction, testing methodologies, and software quality standards across the organization.
12–15+ years of experience in QA, networking, wireless communications, or system validation, including technical leadership experience.
Strong expertise in LEO satellite communications, Starlink connectivity, LTE/5G, cellular gateways, and wireless networking technologies.
Deep understanding of IP networking including TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and Ethernet networking.
Hands-on experience with Wireshark, packet analysis, protocol debugging, Linux, and network validation tools.
Experience building test automation frameworks and applying AI/ML-driven testing, intelligent automation, and continuous validation practices.
Experience validating Starlink-based connectivity or satellite communication solutions.
Experience with industrial routers, IoT gateways, or edge computing platforms.
Knowledge of wireless backhaul architectures and satellite communication frequency bands (L-band, Ku-band, Ka-band).
Experience with network emulators, traffic generators, and cellular test environments.
Understanding of LEO network performance metrics, including throughput, latency, mobility, coverage, and service availability.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
