The SPA System Test (SST) team is a group of dedicated, high-energy engineers within the Security Business Unit focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of SPA's Identity and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
We rigorously test both On-premises and Cloud products, solutions, and offerings to identify and resolve issues before they reach customers.
Our team works on a wide range of features, from small enhancements to major new capabilities, applying diverse perspectives and deep technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges.
We continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, ensuring that SPA delivers the best NAC and Identity solutions in the industry.

Your Impact
As a Technical Lead, you will serve as a subject matter expert and strategic driver within the System Test Engineering organization.
This role demands a balance of deep technical proficiency in networking and automation with the leadership capabilities required to influence architectural decisions, mentor engineering talent, and oversee complex, cross-functional testing initiatives..
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; 10–14+ years of professional experience in the system testing of networking technologies.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Network Admission Control (NAC) technologies, with specialized proficiency in RADIUS and 802.1x protocols.
- Proven track record of architecting and scaling automation solutions using Python and other industry-standard frameworks.
- Extensive experience in designing and managing automated testing environments, including the use of advanced simulators and testing tools.
- Demonstrated ability to architect, implement, maintain, and debug AI-driven test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Expert-level capability in diagnosing and resolving complex network integration issues in large-scale environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A consistent history of delivering high-quality, mission-critical products by providing technical guidance to multi-functional teams under aggressive timelines.
- Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols, with a focus on system-level architecture, formal verification, and emulation environments.
- Expertise in AAA, TACACS, LDAP, PKI, certificate management, DNS, NTP, SSH/SSL, FIPS, HTTP, and enterprise password management.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Golang, Perl, TCL, or shell scripting, coupled with strong expertise in Linux systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with network automation, security infrastructure, cloud-native technologies, Docker containers, and microservices architectures.
- Skilled in REST API and OpenAPI testing, with the ability to define comprehensive test strategies and automation roadmaps.
- Exceptional analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to lead root-cause analysis for systemic technical challenges.
- Superior communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Proven ability to mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of technical excellence, and drive execution in a self-motivated, strategic manner.
- Experience in defining and executing performance testing strategies using tools such as JMeter or Locust to ensure system scalability and reliability.
