Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Team Management
Lead and manage Salesforce engineering teams (developers, administrators, and integration engineers)
Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development for team members
Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and talent development planning
Delivery Management & Execution
Own end-to-end delivery of Salesforce solutions from design through production deployment
Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release timelines
Ensure delivery within scope, time, and quality expectations
Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination
Salesforce Platform Development & Oversight
Provide technical leadership for:
Apex development (classes, triggers, batch jobs)
Lightning Web Components (LWC) and UI frameworks
Salesforce configuration (Flows, objects, automation)
Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and minimize technical debt
Drive reuse of components and platform standardization
Architecture, Governance & Standards
Partner with enterprise architecture teams to define scalable Salesforce solution designs
Enforce platform governance including:
Data models and field standards
Reusable component design
Naming conventions and coding standards
Align solutions with enterprise architecture, compliance, and security requirements
Integration & Enterprise Ecosystem
Oversee integrations between Salesforce and enterprise platforms including:
Java microservices and APIs
Event-driven platforms (Kafka)
Legacy and cloud systems
Ensure data consistency and reliability across systems
Support real-time and batch integration strategies
DevOps & Release Management
Drive CI/CD adoption and release automation using tools such as Copado, Jenkins, or Git-based pipelines
Ensure reliable deployment processes and release quality
Promote strong testing practices, code reviews, and automation
Improve developer productivity and engineering efficiency
Production Support & Operational Excellence
Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of Salesforce applications
Establish L2/L3 support models and incident response processes
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
Drive observability, monitoring, and alerting practices
Security, Risk & Compliance
Ensure Salesforce solutions comply with enterprise security and regulatory requirements
Enforce role-based access controls, data protection, and auditability
Partner with risk, audit, and compliance teams to meet control objectives
Business & Product Collaboration
Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Align engineering priorities with strategic business goals
Support roadmap planning and prioritization for Salesforce initiatives
Innovation & AI Enablement
Drive adoption of new Salesforce capabilities, including AI-driven features (e.g., Agentforce)
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, automation, and operational efficiency
Support ongoing platform modernization and transformation initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of Salesforce platform experience (development and/or architecture)
3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams
Strong expertise in:
Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce configuration
Salesforce data modeling and platform architecture
CRM processes (Sales, Service, Onboarding)
Experience with:
REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integrations
CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer, Architect track, or equivalent)
Experience with:
Salesforce CPQ, Service Cloud, or Financial Services Cloud
Event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience in financial services or regulated industries
Exposure to AI/automation within Salesforce ecosystem
