Primary Responsibilities:
- Handles a team of up to 20-25 Associates
- Work with team members to ensure project goals are met in an efficient and effective manner
- Achievement of individual productivity and quality standards
- Record productivity using Daily Production Report
- Communicate to Management any issue(s) that would impede the accurate and timely review of claims
- Work with Management to ensure that these issues are resolved
- Conduct monthly Analyst Evaluations
- Ensure review daily, production efforts meet desired goals
- Aggressively resolve production problems, manage staffing ratios to meet goal
- Manage Analyst to meet daily/weekly production standards
- Develop plan for improvement for Analysts who do not meet standard
- Manage plan for improvement to ensure Analysts meet future standards
- Building and maintaining an effective team environment
- Identifying training needs for the team and facilitating trainings
- Routinely analyze quality results to report error trends
- Identify root causes of errors and opportunities for defect reduction
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree - BHMS/BAMS/BUMS/BPT/MPT/B.Sc. Nursing
- Certified coder through AAPC
- Certifications accepted - CPC only
- 2+ years of relevant experience in healthcare
- 1+ years (if not medical graduate) - specialty coding such as E&M, surgery, anesthesia etc., but not only HCC
- Proven effective communication skills both verbal and written to individuals
- Proven ability to do careful listening, tact and candor, two-way communication, and master a high impact communication style
- Proven ability to be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities with minimum direction solutions
- Proven ability to effectively organize and lead a team of people, in cooperative processes to achieve shared outcomes
- Demonstrated effective numeracy and analytical skills
- Demonstrated performance management skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills

Skills Required
