This team develops core services that enable our products to run cutting-edge medical applications. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of an Agile Scrum team, contributing to feature development, automated testing, verification campaigns, bug fixes, and documentation.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Take responsibility for delivering medium or high-complexity feature tasks within agreed timelines.
Ensure that all delivered code meets GE Healthcare quality standards and adheres to established best practices.
Contribute to automated testing by developing tests for assigned components and end-to-end workflows.
Participate in software delivery within a global environment.
Participate in documentation activities for quality management purposes.
Break down problems and estimate time required.
Understand performance parameters and application performance.
Work closely with Product Owner (PO) and architects to understand product requirements & vision.
Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 2 years of experience
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience with programming languages utilized in the product, with a focus on those used for the components owned by the team at the level of ability for delivery independently (mainly Java)
Experience with Unix / Linux side programming
Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including key deliverables and the ability to plan and organize tasks accordingly
Differentiators:
Knowledge in C++ or GOLang
Bash or Python knowledge
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
Experience in creating automated tests
