Software Engineer, Platform Support

The opportunity
We are thrilled to invite you to an exciting opportunity to join the Platform Support team, where your primary responsibility will be identifying, diagnosing, and fixing bugs that impact Unity across one or more supported platforms.

As a Software Engineer in the Platform area, you will investigate bug reports, analyze platform-specific issues, and implement solutions that uphold Unity’s high quality standards. Many bugs require deep dives into complex, platform-dependent code, so strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. You’ll work closely with experienced team members as you debug, modify, and test Unity’s source code to deliver robust fixes and ensure a seamless experience for our users.

What you'll be doing

• Investigating and fixing bugs for different Platform areas
• Test code changes on different platforms, from niche smartphones to the newest gaming consoles
• Working on projects related to Unity's supported Platforms

What we're looking for

• Experience in building Unity projects for popular Platforms, such as Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS
• Willingness to analyze and modify (with support) C++ and C# code
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
• Experience working with Git

You might also have

• Knowledge of the Unity editor
• Experience in building and running Unity projects on web platforms or gaming consoles
