Role Overview:

Software Engineer having 2 to 5 years of experience in Mac/Linux Development environment(C,C++,OOPs Concepts, Swift, Data Structure and Algorithm, Multi-threading etc). Experience in Mac/Linux internals and Security domain, in Crash dump analysis, shell scripting, Makefile concept, JS, excellent debugging skills will be an added advantage.
As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Trellix Endpoint Security for Mac team in India(Bangalore), responsible for developing and maintaining the product with highest quality. You will be expected to work with cross functional teams in every stage of the software development lifecycle .
To be successful in this role you should have exceptional technical skills, communication along with ability to work in a team towards achieving organizational goals.

About the role :

• Handling customer escalation and fixing issues for customers.

• Will document details of functionality, design and architecture of a component.

• You will participate in code reviews with other engineers.

• Can understand the impact of code changes- both programmable and logical changes.

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code breakthrough multiplatform software for securing endpoints. 

• Deliver solutions that meet the timeline, quality and costs for the projects and deliverable elements. Solutions must meet the pre-set goals for quality, security, and performance.

• Knowledge on OS internals, good understanding of software architecture and design patterns, strong Object-Oriented Programming principles.

• Working knowledge of tools like XCode, CMake, GIT, VSCode, Jenkins, Radar etc.

• Take up end-to-end ownership of features/functions including development, testing, and automation.

• Should be able to come up with innovative ideas to solve product problems, estimate, prioritizing and planning project deliveries.

• Should be able to analyze requirements clearly and objectively and break them down for active development. 

About You :

• You have 2 to 5 Years of experience in product development.

• You have professional experience working in designing software solutions for large enterprises.

• You have experience working on Endpoint products for Enterprise with a focus on security, quality & performance.

• You have hands-on experience with multiple programming and scripting languages including C, C++, Mac/Linux Development.

• Excellent knowledge of Mac/Linux with good understanding of the OS architecture, and Networking

• Should have programming, strong debugging experience, and excellent problem-solving skills. Proven knowledge of debugging.

• Should be able to write Unit Tests.

• Familiar with Test Driven Development concepts.

• Passion to work with demanding customers

• Document, user stories/use cases, functional specification and design

• Strong in data structures and algorithms.

• Strong communication skills

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a group.
