Make Your Mark:
Join BlackLine as a Front-End Software Engineer on the UI Platform team. This role has a primary focus on front-end development, mainly in React, including our shared component library and the App Shell that powers our enterprise web platform. Alongside this, you will build hands-on, practical experience with Java backend services, cloud architecture, and CI/CD — not just theoretical knowledge, but real work implementing and deploying backend and infrastructure changes. This is a hands-on coding role where you will grow your skills in a complex, cloud-native environment. You will work closely with senior engineers to implement features, fix bugs, and improve the reliability of our front-end platform infrastructure.
You'll Get To:
- Component Library Development: Develop and maintain our shared React-based component library: building new components and enhancing existing ones to ensure a consistent, scalable UI across the platform.
- App Shell Development: Contribute features and improvements to the React-based micro-frontend App Shell, ensuring seamless inter-app communication.
- Modernize & Migrate: Contribute to the migration from legacy applications (.NET) to modern React-based solutions with micro-frontend architecture.
- Backend Development: Implement and maintain backend services in Java: hands-on coding, not just supporting role, including writing and debugging production logic that the front end depends on.
- Cloud & DevOps: Work directly with cloud-native architecture (e.g., GCP), configure and monitor CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and participate in cloud deployments using Terraform.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable front-end code following solid best practices. Write tests (unit, integration) to ensure high coverage and stability.
- Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, learn from senior mentors, and collaborate with other developers to resolve full-stack issues.
- Troubleshooting: Help debug issues primarily on the front end (browser console, UI behavior), with occasional support on backend API issues.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in software development.
- Core Technologies: Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React (primary focus), combined with practical, hands-on experience building and maintaining backend services in Java — not only theoretical knowledge.
- Cloud & DevOps Experience: Practical experience with cloud-native architecture, particularly GCP (or comparable major cloud platforms), and real-world exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Development Lifecycle: Solid understanding of the full SDLC, from analyzing stakeholder requirements to technical implementation.
- Tooling: Familiarity with modern build tools (Webpack, npm).|
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies like design systems, micro-frontends, and cloud architecture.
Total Base Pay Range- 201 000,00 - 252 000,00 PLN annual
