Team Description: 

The Entra Application Governance team builds the core capabilities that help enterprises discover, manage, govern, and secure application identities at scale. As organizations increasingly adopt AI-powered applications, agents, and non-human identities, our mission is expanding to help customers securely govern and manage the next generation of software. 

We are building the security and governance foundations for applications, AI agents, and machine identities, helping enterprises apply least-privilege access, visibility, and policy controls across increasingly complex cloud environments. This includes emerging governance challenges around autonomous software, non-human identities, and AI-driven access patterns. 

You will own and deliver critical platform capabilities that directly impact customer security, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will work at the intersection of cloud-scale engineering, identity, security, and AI, helping define how enterprises securely adopt the next generation of intelligent software. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment in security-sensitive domains, and the ability to drive work independently across complex systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain software components and services under the guidance of experienced engineers. 

  • Implement features, fix bugs, and improve service quality, reliability, and performance. 

  • Participate in code reviews and apply engineering best practices. 

  • Learn and follow secure software development principles and operational procedures. 

  • Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues. 

  • Work closely with teammates to understand requirements and deliver solutions. 

  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and automation efforts. 

  • Continuously build technical skills in cloud computing, security, identity, and distributed systems. 


Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

  • Experience with software development through internships, academic projects, open-source contributions, or industry experience. 

  • Programming experience in C#, Java, or a comparable object-oriented language. 

  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and testing. 

  • Basic knowledge of cloud services and distributed systems concepts is a plus. 

  • Strong learning agility, problem-solving skills, and attention to quality. 

  • Good collaboration and communication skills. 

Other Requirements

  • Interest in identity, cloud security, governance, or enterprise software. 

  • Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, or cloud platforms is a plus. 

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in a team environment. 

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across Czechia is Kč 738,000.00 - Kč 1,241,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
