TITLE: Software Engineer - Services
LOCATION: New York City (hybrid) or Fully Remote in the United States
SALARY: $130,000 - 165,000 (based on NYC, will be adjusted for geo)
The Role:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Services team. This team is responsible for integrating with the data systems for Canoe Partners, enabling Canoe clients to break data silos and use their data as best suits their needs. Team members are Canoe's domain experts in API best practices, and work closely with our Data Services and Data Engineering teams to create great client experiences.
What You'll Do:
- Build mission-critical services for Canoe's core products
- Contribute to the design and development of our Integrations platform
- Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable, and reliable services
- Build new Canoe product offerings within cross-functional teams.
- Build observable systems and be an organization leader in operational excellence
What We're Looking For:
- An engineer with experience:
- Building low-latency and high-volume APIs.
- Integrating with complex third-party services through REST APIs.
- Simplifying the internal use of external data through appropriate abstractions and encapsulation.
- Delivering business value by contributing to cross-functional projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
Preferred:
- Experience with our core technologies: FastAPI, Express, Python, Typescript, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS
- Experience working within an Event-driven, Microservices-based environment
