ROLE PROFILE:
Regulatory Reporting Solutions (RRS) is the London Stock Exchange's regulatory reporting, matching, and reconciliation solution provider. RRS customers include investment banks, hedge funds, brokers, and other financial services firms. RRS provides business solutions in the areas of:
Regulatory reporting with MiFIR, EMIR, UKMIIR, G20, and other regimes
Provision of reference data (especially financial instruments data)
Analytics and Surveillance platforms that provide a suite of control frameworks
These services have seen year-on-year growth and are underpinned by a fully cloud-hosted applications suite. To build on this success and increase market share, we are looking to modernise and enhance these applications by delivering a modern UI, enhanced APIs, and scalable new functionality to meet evolving market demands.
ROLE SUMMARY:
RRS is seeking a React Engineer to contribute to the development of dynamic web applications using React.js. The Platform Engineering team develops, maintains, and enhances the core RRS platform that backs multiple regulated Tier 1 applications and solutions. A new greenfield project is being initiated to deliver the NextGen platform for RRS.
The successful candidate will contribute to the front-end development of high-performance, secure, and scalable financial platforms. As a core member of the development team, you will build intuitive and responsive user interfaces for applications that handle sensitive financial data, real-time analytics, and complex user workflows.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance front-end solutions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, component-driven architecture, and modern front-end best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain React applications with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability
Write clean, modular, and reusable code using modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver exceptional user experiences
Optimize application performance through efficient rendering and resource management
Work alongside senior engineers, participate in code reviews, and follow best coding practices
Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and propose improvements to processes and tools
Candidate Profile:
2+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 1 year in React.js
Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript
Experience with state management libraries (Redux, MobX, Zustand, etc.)
Understanding of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and modern front-end build pipelines
Experience with front-end performance optimization techniques
Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.
Experience deploying web applications using CI tools (e.g., GitLab) and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, npm)
Good awareness of SDLC considerations for Financial Services market infrastructure applications
Provides L3 support for critical production issues
Builds strong relationships with team members and collaborates closely with QA teams
Shows interest in developing knowledge through on-the-job learning, certifications, and projects
Desirable Skills:
Experience with cloud-native technologies (Azure or AWS)
Experience with Snowflake data platform
REST API design and development
Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices application design
Behavioural Skills:
Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
Takes ownership and accountability for their actions and decisions
