Job Description
The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer Principal in Pittsburgh, PA. Participate in all aspects of PNC's Corporate and Institutional Banking’s Systems Engineering Group activities. Specific duties include: (1) lead the technical design and development of software solutions; (2) analyze current business processes, define and develop different tasks and workflows; (3) create business and technical designs for assigned processes, tasks and workflows; (4) create requirement definition and technical specifications; (5) develop solutions from technical specifications to do the unit testing of the modules and deploy it into Non-Production and Production environments; (6) provide technical oversight to team members and guide the team in solving technical problems; (7) analyze user requirements and define functional and technical specifications; (8) analyze and resolve production issues including root cause analysis, performance monitoring and implementation of long-term fixes; and (9) support application upgrades, including framework, database and infrastructure changes.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications, CIS, or MIS, plus 5 years of experience designing and implementing solutions using Java, Webservices REST/SOAP, Spring, JPA, JSON and Oracle PL/SQL is required. Must have experience with: (1) working with relational databases including writing and optimizing SQL queries on Oracle DB; (2) developing cloud enabled RESTful microservices with integrated compliance CI/CD pipelines and auto-scaling needs; (3) designing and executing business rules with IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager); (4) developing and deploying in multiple environments (RND, UAT, QA and Prod) using Jenkins CI/CD automated integrated deployment pipelines with source code control and reviews using BitBucket and DevOps; (5) designing, developing and maintaining OBIEE reports and dashboards to support enterprise reporting needs; (6) developing software development solutions, including multiple integrations and business rules / business requirements in support of business; (7) leading teams through development and delivery of software development solutions; (8) implementing full project lifecycle software development including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, support and enhancement; (9) proof of concept / process improvement development activities involving business assessment, feature analysis and development; and (10) utilizing additional tools and technologies including SoapUI, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE, XSLT, Camel Framework, Netcracker JAX-WS, JSON and Hibernate.

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications, CIS, or MIS
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing software solutions
- Experience with Java, REST/SOAP web services, Spring, JPA, JSON, and Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries on Oracle databases
- Experience developing cloud-enabled RESTful microservices with CI/CD compliance pipelines and auto-scaling
- Experience designing and executing business rules with IBM ODM
- Experience deploying software across RND, UAT, QA, and production environments using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Bitbucket, DevOps, source control, and code reviews
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining OBIEE reports and dashboards
- Experience with SoapUI, Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA, XSLT, Camel Framework, Netcracker JAX-WS, and Hibernate
- Experience leading teams through software development and delivery
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, support, and enhancement
