Teams at PNC Bank

Team
Product & Tech

As a coast-to-coast financial services firm, PNC offers its employees tremendous opportunity to grow, develop and move internally to pursue their passions. Technologists at PNC develop tools and technologies that incorporate some of the most modern and cutting-edge approaches, working collaboratively and continuously developing as experts in their respective fields. “Having the ability to continually improve yourself and shape where you want your career to grow is just one of the many benefits at PNC,” Technology Manager Justine Nape said. It can be an empowering sandbox for professionals, as Senior Software Architect Rahul Gaikwad attests: “PNC provides many opportunities to work on innovative products and allows us to think creatively.”

PNC's Westward Expansion

Although PNC's site reliability center is comprised of team members located across PNC offices nationwide, the heart of it lies in the Chief Technology Office located in Phoenix, Arizona, where a flag has been planted for PNC’s tech expansion westward. With the sun shining and palm trees swaying in the window view behind him, Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Manager James White can be found in his Phoenix office, managing nine data center teams, critical to the success of the SRC’s efforts. Hardware that had once taken 6 to 12 months to deliver, will be completed in days or weeks instead, and he is looking for “life-long learners” to join his team to help make it happen.

PNC's Approach to AI Exploration

While PNC Bank prides itself for being “brilliantly boring” when it comes to managing the business, it is still a place of creativity and experimentation. Our sandbox, PNC Labs, is a lively, interesting place to play with artificial intelligence (AI), and we’re always looking for new, inquisitive talent to join. And it’s not just a matter of experimenting in a conceptual way. PNC software engineers and data scientists get to see those ideas come to fruition.

Team
QA & Test Engineering

Quality assurance engineers are often thought of as bug hunters, testing technology to make sure it doesn’t glitch. At PNC, they are so much more.
