Software Engineer (Java, Python, Microservices, Gen AI)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with solid technical depth to deliver scalable services and guide junior engineers, working with Java, Spring Boot, Python (NumPy), REST APIs, Flask APIs, and Azure. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop maintainable, modular software components in Java, Spring Boot, and Python 
  • Write optimized, reusable, and scalable code that follows SOLID/equivalent principles 
  • Build application components applying multi-threading, concurrency models, and asynchronous programming principles 
  • Design, build, and consume REST APIs with Spring Boot and Flask; build Python/NumPy-based data processing components where applicable 
  • Solve technical problems considering common practice and procedures; determine appropriate action by analyzing possible solutions and their impact on the function/business 
  • Provide informal guidance to new and junior team members through code reviews and pairing 
  • Understand how the team’s work integrates with other closely related teams and account for interdependencies 
  • Write and execute unit tests using JUnit and Mockito; perform API integration testing 
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy applications; maintain a high level of quality maturity in pipeline quality gates 
  • Implement security best practices (input validation, authentication, authorization, OWASP guidelines) 
  • Deploy and operate applications on Azure Cloud using Docker and Kubernetes 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments 
  • Explain technical, sometimes complex and dynamic concepts clearly to others 

 

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of strong working experience in core technical discipline: Java, Spring Boot, RDBMS, NoSQL 
  • Solid experience with Python and NumPy for building data-oriented services 
  • Strong experience with common software design patterns (e.g., Adapter, Strategy, Template Method) 
  • Strong experience in designing, building, and consuming REST APIs efficiently; experience building and operating Flask APIs 
  • Good experience using AI-assisted tools in the SDLC 
  • Experience in code execution best practices (memory footprint, GC) and database query analysis (explain plan, statistics) 
  • Hands-on experience in messaging and queuing 
  • Proficiency in JUnit; experience with API integration testing using Postman 
  • Experience in quality gates and security tools integration in CI/CD processes 
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Cloud services 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
