Summary
Software Engineer II with strong C#/.NET development experience and a solid grasp of Microsoft technologies to help design, enhance, and extend solutions within the OneStream platform. This role works closely with architects, finance systems experts, and business analysts to deliver high-quality applications that drive financial consolidation, reporting, and analytics. This role blends hands-on engineering with technical mentorship, ideal for someone who can balance deep coding skills with collaboration and system-level thinking.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable applications using C#, .NET Framework, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Develop and execute unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver end-to-end software solutions.
- Integrate and enhance systems within the OneStream ecosystem for production.
- Troubleshoot complex issues within the OneStream platform, data integrations, and performance optimization.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing solutions, APIs, and cloud.
- Contribute to DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment automation.
- Engage in research activities to define and scope new features and solutions.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing best practices and promoting technical excellence.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core/Framework, and Microsoft ecosystems.
- 1–2 years of hands-on OneStream development experience, including business rules, dashboards, workflows, data management, and cube design.
- Solid understanding and experience with relational databases, including SQL Server and Oracle, and data integration techniques, including APIs, ETL, REST, and OData.
- Proficiency in unit testing, code review practices, and agile development methodologies.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum Development Methodologies.
- Ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.
- Understanding of cloud concepts including elasticity, security, and identity management.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with technologies such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Data Lake, Storage, including table, queue, and blob; Azure Application Insights; Dynatrace; Blazor; Angular; React; and Azure compute/hosting technologies such as Azure Functions, Container Apps, Batch, and Kubernetes Service.
- Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, REST APIs, and related ecosystem tools.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, software patterns, and unit testing frameworks, such as MSTest, NUnit, or xUnit.
- Familiarity with source control systems, such as Git and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with OneStream or CPM platforms, such as Hyperion and Anaplan, is a plus.
- Skills and certifications.
