This role requires you to be located in Poland to help our teams work together. It can be performed remotely or onsite in our office in Gdańsk. You can also work remotely worldwide for a maximum of 90 days per year.
Atlassian is looking for an Android Engineer to maintain our Jira and Confluence applications and tools and deliver great user experiences. As an engineer within this team, you will be responsible for the development and regular releases of our apps. We're customer-focused, building experiences and picking technologies to empower our users.

You'll be part of the Data Center Mobile team and report to an Engineering Manager in the Core Engineering domain. As part of a unified R&D team, Engineering is prioritising key initiatives that support our customers' move to the Cloud while simultaneously continuing to bring the most value to our customers through investments across our core product suite, including Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket.

What you'll do

• Build high-performing client code that is fast, testable, scalable, and of high quality
• Drive strong collaboration with other engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on great solutions
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation, and take on complex bug fixes
• Lead projects, from the technical design, implementation and launch to operation
• Onboard and mentor other engineers

Your background
You are an Android developer with a background in mobile development and an understanding of mobile development fundamentals, architecture components, and best practices.

• 4+ years of total Android development experience
• Passionate about delightful user experience and delivering customer value with a high-quality
• Understanding of Android fundamentals, architecture components, and best practices (e.g. Compose, WorkManager)
• Experience with MVP or MVVM architecture
• Experienced with Kotlin/Java
• Experience with Functional reactive programming (RxJava, Coroutines, or anything similar)
• Experienced with writing testable code and working with mobile test frameworks
• Experience with releasing to Google Play Store
• Experience with Firebase is nice-to-have
• Experience in iOS mobile development is nice-to-have

Compensation:
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
192,600 PLN - 251,450 PLN annually (base)
This role is also eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
