At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
We're currently hiring for two teams - The Production Operations Products and The Media Workflows, operating within the Studio Engineering department.
The Production Operations Products
The Production Operations Products team owns the core technologies that power how Netflix plans, manages, and tracks its global productions. We are the primary developers behind:
Slate Manager (SM) – internal usage for planning and execution
Production Center (PC) – external, dedicated for our production partners.
Our domain covers the entire lifecycle of physical production operations. We build tools that help internal teams and external partners right-size projects during early planning, manage execution risks (balancing time, cost, and creative ambition), maintain production standards, and enable critical business reporting. The domain encompasses highly complex workflows including talent and vendor management, schedule pacing, and budget insights.
The Media Workflows
The Media Workflows team owns the core technologies that power how Netflix ingests, manages, and delivers production media across its global content pipeline. Our domain covers the entire lifecycle of production media, from the moment footage leaves the set to its use across editorial, post, and archival workflows. We build tools that help internal teams and external partners ingest footage at scale, review and organize dailies under tight production timelines, maintain asset integrity and metadata quality, and safely integrate emerging AI-powered tools into production-critical systems. The domain encompasses highly complex, distributed workflows spanning global productions, third-party vendor integrations, and large-scale media asset management.

Have a proven track record in architecting, building, and operating distributed systems with high availability, fault tolerance, and performance.
Have solid experience in setting technical directions for engineering projects, making architectural decisions, and influencing partner and cross-functional teams.
Have the ability to proactively describe complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders, driving conversations and decisions through effective communication.
Knowledge of media production, encoding and other footage related pipelines is a plus.
