Software Engineer II - Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 -5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on modern web application development.
- Experience integrating applications with REST and SOAP APIs.
- Working knowledge of Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development practices.
- Hands-on experience developing front-end applications using:
- React.js
- Next.js
- TypeScript
- HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, including deployment, monitoring, and application scalability.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements, including PCI, HIPAA, and CMS standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AEM integration and Next.js server-side rendering (SSR), routing, caching, and hydration.
- Experience supporting production deployments and post-release activities.
- Exposure to performance optimization, application monitoring, and observability tools.
- Knowledge in GraphQL, including query and mutation development, and experience with Apollo and/or Relay clients.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems, including exposure to technologies such as Kafka.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
