About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Sr. Software Development Project Manager to gather business requirements, co-work with software engineers to make up software solutions and execute task management.

The responsibilities include gathering user requirements, bridge communication between user and software engineer, functional spec documentation, data issue analysis and development task management. The people who have the basic concept of software development life cycle (SDLC), experienced in Mongo DB SQL, and ability to translate user requirement to system functional spec will be our ideal candidate. Meanwhile, we also need this role to help new products to production/mass production while balancing schedule and budget, without sacrificing quality (we aim to deliver NPI quickly but still meet all quality specifications and expectations)

Ultimately, the role is to determine the operational objectives of system functions by analyzing requirements and cooperating with software engineers to build up the software system which can work with ZT's business model.

What You Will Do

  • Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into architecture diagrams, process flows, system designs, and functional specifications as needed.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet both business and technical requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve application functionality issues, providing support for troubleshooting efforts.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and leverage analytical expertise to guide end users in optimizing application system usage.
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and leadership to identify process improvement opportunities, recommend system enhancements, and develop data governance strategies.
  • Provide coordination and oversight for managing a product’s or SKU’s lifecycle—from early planning and engineering through to mass production.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to align customer needs with business objectives.
  • Facilitate successful project delivery through cross-functional coordination and clear communication.
  • Apply technical understanding of products to guide development teams and accurately represent their work to broader audiences.
  • Partner with the Test Engineering (TE) team to address current issues or concerns related to Microsoft or AWS SKUs.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with any amount of experience as a Software Developer and/or Systems Analyst.
  • Experienced in Software Development Project Management:
    • SDLC Management: Proficient in managing the Software Development Life Cycle and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
    • Risk Management: Skilled in identifying potential risks in the testing process and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills:
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with development and operations teams to ensure alignment on goals and requirements.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Strong skills in documenting user stories, feature specifications, and results, and effectively communicating these to stakeholders.
    • Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project partners.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of how the web front end communicates with the backend and database.
    • Basic concept of terminologies in the areas below
      • Hardware firmware and driver updates
      • Linux-based tools and systems
      • Network Protocol (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, DHCP)
  • Candidate should be capable of multi-tasking, very detail-oriented, and accustomed to working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Great plus if candidates have previous field experience in manufacturing or supply chain management

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $60,750 and $80,000 annually. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
