Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we’ve tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it’s supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we’re not just here to move money— we’re here to move our global customers forward.

About the Role:
As a Software Development Intern with Remitly, you will report to an experienced local Manager, and contribute to a collaborative product development team (this opportunity includes a prospect to work in Infrastructure & Security teams as well).

You will work on meaningful and impactful projects (often business priorities and part of the roadmap) over the course of three months. If you enjoy learning and building software in an agile environment, come join us!

You Are:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related area, preferably with an anticipated graduation date of late 2026 or Spring of 2027.

  • Knowledgeable of fundamental data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis

  • Familiar with at least one general purpose language (e.g. Go, Java, Kotlin and TypeScript or JavaScript)

  • Interested in a collaborative working environment, where you will learn from experienced software engineers

  • Passionate about AI innovation in software development

  • Fully available for a 12-week paid internship during summer of 2026

  • Able to visit the Krakow office at least 3 days a week, to meet with team members, buddies and mentors

  • Communicative in English and Polish

You Will:

  • Learn how engineering teams plan and work on complex projects

  • Learn how software is developed and deployed with modern tools and languages at a fast-growing FinTech company

  • Gain practical experience with cloud services such as AWS

  • Gain professional experience with unit and functional testing

  • Work collaboratively to meet the needs of our customers

Note sure what to include in your CV? It's always great to add any projects or initiatives you're proud of or want to brag about - links to GitHub are more than welcome! :)

We will choose the most interesting applications and start the recruitment process.

This is a paid summer internship and you will have an amazing opportunity to take ownership of projects under the guidance of your mentor, solve complex technical problems and learn from our experienced software engineers. We value long-lasting relationships and will aim to continue the collaboration after the internship. Many of our current engineers started their career at Remitly as interns!

Recruitment Process:
PLEASE NOTE: The next stage will be an online questionnaire that will land in your mailbox by April 1st 2026.
Our hiring process consists of a short online questionnaire to confirm availability and work model alignment, followed by a take home assignment, to assess technical foundations. Selected candidates will be invited to an in-office Hiring Day, where they will participate in technical and team interviews. Final decisions will be shared shortly after the Hiring Day.
