Software Development Engineer (WebApps)

ABOUT THE ROLE

FOX Corporation is looking for a highly skilled and experienced SDE (L2) / Senior Engineer (WebApps) for its Digital Product Engineering WebApps team. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of modern web application development, object-oriented programming principles, and frontend engineering best practices.

As an SDE (L2) / Senior Engineer (WebApps), you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications. You will contribute to technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric digital experiences.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications using TypeScript,, React.js, and Next.js.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable frontend components following engineering best practices.

• Ensure the performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and reliability of web applications.

• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and backend systems.

• Identify and resolve application bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.

• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to frontend design decisions.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and documented code.

• Continuously evaluate and adopt modern web technologies and development practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, and Platform Engineering teams to ensure high-quality product releases.

• Support production deployments and troubleshoot critical production issues when required.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–7 years of professional experience in modern web application development.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, and CSS3.

• Hands-on experience with React js, Next.js, and modern frontend frameworks.

• Strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and responsive design.

• Experience with Git, code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of software design principles and frontend architecture.

• Experience with working on Server Side Rendering using Next.js or any other similar frameworks.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.
