The Freelance Production Assistant will assist the production team with story pitching, segment building, writing, editing video, and handling breaking news.

Own day-to-day relationships for a portfolio of creators, drive revenue and monetization, translate creator goals into executable plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, analyze performance data, run partner business reviews, and support sponsorship and distribution efforts to deliver measurable outcomes.

Lead marketing insights for subscriber acquisition, retention, and engagement. Supervise writers and assist field crews and production staff to ensure timely, accurate live broadcasts.

Edit and optimize photography and video for web and devices; assign and coordinate photographers; manage invoices and billing; maintain contact and story databases; create slideshows; monitor social and analytics to support visual stories; adhere to SEO requirements; multitask under tight deadlines across news verticals and assist with booking and assignment logistics.

Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and CTV platforms. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD, create reusable tooling, leverage AI-assisted tools, perform targeted exploratory testing, monitor production health, and partner with Engineering and Product to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

Lead paid media acquisition campaigns to drive DTC subscriber growth. Execute performance strategies across Meta, Google, YouTube, programmatic and DSPs, manage budgets and pacing, align creative and lifecycle teams, collaborate with agencies, and optimize using analytics.

Support the media desk by attaching editorial metadata, logging and archiving video, ingesting physical media, transcribing urgent speeches, and monitoring video quality. Work in a fast-paced live news environment with flexible shifts; role may be freelance full- or part-time and could transition to a full-time staff position.

Produce and manage live streaming and social-first video for FOX Local and major platforms. Operate switching/encoding and clipping tools, publish and optimize content across apps and social networks, monitor analytics to guide coverage, collaborate with newsroom and engineering teams, ensure journalistic and legal standards, and support podcast production.

Process multi-state, multi-company weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for non-union employees; audit earnings, deductions, garnishments and taxes; handle one-time and corrective payments; interpret withholding orders; support timekeeping system implementation and testing; ensure SOX and regulatory compliance; resolve payroll escalations and lead process improvement initiatives.

Lead and coordinate digital content production across 17 stations and LiveNOW from FOX. Plan coverage, prioritize resources, publish stories, video, livestreams, and social content, monitor analytics, guide editorial decisions, and support weekend and event coverage to meet group standards.

Lead build, QA, launch, and optimization of lifecycle campaigns across email, push, in-app messaging, and content cards using Braze and similar platforms. Manage onboarding, engagement, retention, and winback journeys; create audience segments and personalization rules; troubleshoot delivery and deep-linking issues; monitor campaign performance and A/B tests; coordinate cross-functional assets, timelines, and approvals; and contribute to lifecycle best practices and process documentation.

Shoot and edit high-quality video and sound for broadcast, streaming, digital and social platforms. Respond to breaking news, operate live-transmission tools (LiveU, ENG), drones and field equipment, produce polished packages and social content, collaborate with newsroom teams, and participate in editorial planning. Must meet physical and scheduling requirements and submit a demo reel.

Pitch and produce weather stories and segments for FOX Weather: research, write scripts and banners, cut video, coordinate graphics and video, source user-generated content, book guests, and support live, breaking-news coverage alongside on-air meteorologists and control room teams.

Write and produce content for multiple daily news programs, including scripts, teases, live shots, and guest segments. Coordinate video, graphics, and production elements, collaborate with control room staff, track editorial updates, research developing stories, and support breaking news coverage. Flexible scheduling with daytime and weekend shifts.

Lead studio-wide production technology programs from greenlight through post-ingest. Develop scalable standards, align vendors and facilities, standardize ingest/metadata/archive workflows, enable production-to-post handoffs, operationalize emerging tools, and report program roadmaps and risks to executives to ensure consistent, repeatable production workflows.

Provide high-level administrative support to senior management: manage calendars, calls, travel, expense reports, correspondence, and coordinate communications across teams. Support breaking news and special projects in a fast-paced media environment.

The Creative Services Trainee will assist in production tasks, curate content ideas, create multimedia elements, and enhance engagement through social media.

Lead podcast and digital media sales, drive business development, cultivate relationships, manage the sales cycle, and ensure successful campaign execution.

The role involves writing articles focused on tech and home products, researching trends, optimizing content for revenue, and covering major shopping events.
