You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of mission-critical enterprise applications. You will play a key role throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation, testing, deployment, and support. You will also provide technical leadership to development teams and ensure software quality, performance, and security standards are met. This is a remote position with occasional travel. The consultant may be required to work onsite for up to 12 days per quarter in Warsaw, Poland.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop enterprise software systems.
- Lead development teams and provide technical guidance.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs.
- Optimize software from performance, security, and quality perspectives.
- Produce technical documentation.
- Estimate development effort and timelines.
- Define and enforce software development standards.
- Propose technical solutions to business requirements and technical challenges.
- Collect and interpret software metrics.
- Manage software configuration and release processes.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and change management.
- Test solutions and develop testing tools.
- Document developments and technical specifications.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support.
- Experience with at least one complete software development lifecycle.
- Expert knowledge in developing enterprise-level software systems.
- Strong knowledge of UML and application design methodologies.
- Proficient in designing and developing data layer, business logic layer, and user interface layer components.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to lead technical teams.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with mission-critical complex enterprise systems, including asset management and/or human resources management, as well as financial management systems.
- At least a Bachelor’s in Information Technology is mandatory (minimum EQF Level 6 or equivalent)
- At least 4 years experience in IT, and 2 years in a similar role
- At least one of the following certifications:
- Intermediate-level certification in software development relevant to the domain; or
- An equivalent internationally recognized certification.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in multicultural and collaborative environments.
- Fluency in English is required; French is considered a strong asset.
