Position Overview:

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing an innovative and effective social media strategy for the Accounting and Financial Services verticals within Colibri. Success in this position involves supporting our brands, increasing reach, visibility, and engagement, and launching social content and campaigns to support our overall marketing and ecommerce sales efforts. The individual in this role will work closely with key stakeholders within the marketing departments to execute their work.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement social media strategies for the Accounting and Financial Services verticals 
  • Build and maintain the brands’ social media profiles and presence through engaging, relevant content tailored to best practices for each social platform.
  • Create and curate engaging, shareable content across social media platforms that reflect brand voices and are relevant to our key audiences.
  • Repurpose existing content (YouTube videos, blogs, etc) on social platforms to build engagement while providing valuable information 
  • Collaborate with other marketing stakeholders to develop social content that supports brand campaigns and business initiatives, both B2B and B2C.
  • Build out and schedule the social calendar to develop brand awareness, generate in-bound traffic to each brand’s website, and support product campaigns.
  • Attend periodic industry conferences to source content.
  • Oversee audience engagement: 
  • Leverage social listening tools to monitor brand conversations, engage in relevant social discussions with the community, and report key insights, both proactively and reactively.
  • Manage guest feedback on social channels both reactive (i.e., addressing complaints in an appropriate manner) and proactive (i.e., recognizing and thanking guests who demonstrate advocacy on behalf of our brand).
  • Collaborate with the community manager.
  • Generate and execute a plan to continuously source User Generated Content from the community.
  • Source additional influencers and affiliate partners to produce unique content.
  • Support customer service by trafficking cases that arise through social media engagement.
  • Define, track, and report on key social media KPIs

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role required
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube platforms
  • Ability to analyze social media KPIs and make recommendations for improvement. 
  • Ability to pivot quickly as the needs of the organization change 
  • Interest in exploring AI opportunities within social media while maintaining originality and the “human touch.”
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities from various stakeholders simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work effectively with all levels in an organization.
  • Creative mindset; ability to create relevant content for audiences and followers.
  • Copywriting experience a plus
  • Education or accounting experience a plus.
