Social Media Manager

About the Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead and execute the social media strategy for Sky: Children of the Light and thatgamecompany’s global social media channels. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to blend internet culture with thoughtful brand storytelling, creating content that feels native to platforms while staying true to Sky’s values and voice.
You’ll own the day-to-day management and long-term strategy across platforms, with a primary focus on driving growth and experimentation on TikTok. This role partners closely with brand, creative, creator, and regional community teams to ensure social content is aligned, timely, and impactful across global audiences.
The ideal candidate is either a dedicated Sky fan or has strong familiarity with the game and similar titles.
Roles & Responsibilities
Own the day-to-day management and strategic direction of Sky and thatgamecompany’s social media channels.
Lead TikTok growth strategy, including content planning, trend participation, testing, and ongoing optimization.
Develop social content that resonates with both new and existing audiences while maintaining brand voice and values.
Balance timely, reactive content with evergreen brand and campaign-driven social programs.
Regularly test new formats, creative approaches, and content ideas to drive learning and growth.
Analyze post- and channel-level performance to identify insights and apply learnings to future content and campaigns.
Share performance insights, recommendations, and key learnings with the broader marketing team.
Stay informed on platform updates, emerging trends, and best practices across social platforms.
Content & Channel Management
Manage the Sky and thatgamecompany social media content calendar in collaboration with internal stakeholders to align with key brand and in-game moments.
Organize and package social media assets, copy, and posting specifications for regional community managers to publish on localized channels.
Create social content using branded materials, including short-form video and static assets.
Maintain Sky and TGC social channels according to platform best practices.
Serve as the primary point of contact for platform-related support issues.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the brand creative team to align on content needs, brief creative requests, and develop branded templates for scalable content creation.
Partner with regional community managers to align on overarching social strategy and consult on regional initiatives.
Develop and communicate social media strategies for in-game events and brand activations, collaborating with internal stakeholders for alignment and approval.
Engage with the community on social platforms by replying to comments and DMs, and proactively engaging with creator content.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing social media for a brand, ideally within games, entertainment, or culture-driven industries.
Experience supporting live-service or community-driven products.
Strong understanding of internet culture, humor, and platform-native language.
Comfort working with analytics and using performance data to inform creative and strategic decisions.
Willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn through testing.
Solid understanding of brand marketing and evergreen campaign development.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Passion for Sky: Children of the Light and/or video games is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $57,500 USD to $118,000 USD annually, with the
opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off.
