JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to join our Global Football social media team. In this role, you’ll have to tell the brand’s Global Football story. For it, you will be required to get familiar with our company and our roster, create relationships with our agents across the world, participate in our culture, employ compelling content strategies and use all the tools available to communicate with our various audiences and communities through social media.

We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, thrive in a demanding atmosphere and work brilliantly in a team environment, but equally, you are comfortable when required to work independently.

CORE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help tell THE·TEAM’s Global Football story in the social space, including work with agents, talent, and brands & properties, maintaining an appropriate, unique, and consistent voice, tone and point-of-view.
  • Be the primary manager of THE·TEAM’s global football social media accounts, to ensure healthy, active feeds.
  • Create content plans and calendars, and implement processes to execute them across the Global Football social media channels.
  • Translate the overall social media strategy into day-to-day execution, identifying opportunities for the channel through storytelling and human connection.
  • Assist in ongoing planning for upcoming key moments for the Business Unit.
  • Build and define a dedicated audience unique to the platform.
  • Develop and maintain social media guidelines and best practices that support THE·TEAM’s mission and strengthen the brand.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, including agents and executives, on content requests.
  • Engage with the audience through high-quality, relevant copy tailored to the social space.
  • Manage the process of creating original visual content, including graphics and videos.
  • Generate analytics reports on channel performance, share findings with internal teams, and make recommendations based on this analysis.
  • Work closely with the global corporate communications department to execute and uphold THE·TEAM’s overall brand, marketing and communications strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience developing social media creative, editing copy, and engaging with audiences. Experience working with sports-related accounts is a plus.
  • Expertise in the function and utilization of major social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of the football landscape at an international level.
  • Based in Madrid or London.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Knowledge of other languages, such as French, German or Italian is not required but a plus.
  • Flawless spelling and grammar in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong community management skills. Understands that social is a conversation and knows how to interact with an audience.
  • Understands the value of data. Familiar with native platform insights, as well as analytics tools, such as Brandwatch or Sprinklr.
  • Passionate about social media.
  • Passionate about pop culture. Initiative to stay on top of trends and online conversation.
  • Experience creating content on the go and covering live events.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to excellence — working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation.
