The Role

About The RoleThe Social Media Intern plays both a creative and tactical role in creation of The RealReal’s organic and paid social media content. This position requires a passion for social media, fashion, and the circular economy that translates to compelling and emotional social content for all channels. Through close partnership with the rest of the brand team, creative and marketing, the Social Media Intern ensures we are actively engaged with and responsive to our community.
**This is a 10 week internship from 6/2/2025 - 8/8/2025.**

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • Full-time (minimum 12 credit hours) undergraduate student pursuing a degree in marketing, digital marketing, journalism, or business management graduating after December 2025

  • Equally adept at big picture thinking and tactical execution

  • Strategic thinker who demonstrates sound judgment  

  • Strong written communication skills and ability to adapt to conversational style for social  Results-oriented self-starter able to multitask and prioritize workload

  • Detail oriented and organized

  • Team player with a collaborative approach

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with native in app editing 

Compensation, Benefits, + Perks

This role is not eligible for benefits.

The expected hourly rate for this role is 20.00-25.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.

We make selling effortless with free virtual appointments, in-home pickup, drop-off, and direct shipping. We handle all of the work for consignors, including authenticating, using AI and machine learning to determine optimal pricing, photographing and listing their items, as well as shipping and customer service.
