Position Overview: As a Smart Automations Platform Engineer, you will lead and continuously enhance the end-to-end service delivery for critical business processes on both regional and global scales, emphasizing automation platforms. You will develop a deep understanding of our services and business requirements, ensuring that the support model, service level agreements (SLAs), and operational level agreements (OLAs) align with customer expectations.
In this role, you will deliver operational excellence by employing best practices such as ITIL and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). You will actively seek opportunities to drive efficiencies through standardization, automation, and simplification. Additionally, you will learn to lead crisis management for complex, high-impact outages and oversee all aspects of service delivery, including quality assurance, service transition, vendor management, and service level management.
Platform Engineering:
Engage in platform engineering for automation tools such as Blue Prism, Knime, and Retool.
Gain hands-on experience with various Azure services.
Contribute to the establishment of GitOps within our environments.
Drive the resiliency of automation technologies that support critical business processes.
Ensure the security of the automation platforms.
Provide technical support and assistance to users of the automation platform.
Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation deployment, configuration, and usage.
Assist in testing and validating new features and enhancements for automation.
Contribute to the documentation of technical processes and support materials.
Stay updated with the latest developments in automation and related technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for platform improvements.
Assist in planning and executing platform-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
Leverage SRE best practices to optimize platform management.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in platform engineering, automation, or a related role.
Familiarity with one of following automation tools: Blue Prism, Knime, and Retool.
Hands-on experience with Azure services and cloud technologies.
Familiarity with ITIL and SRE methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
