About your team

Asset Management CAO team is responsible front to back, for the operational and supporting capabilities across investment management. The Investment Management Solutions team is a cross asset delivery & support function driving collaboration, consistency & execution across the global asset management platform. The team drives strategic initiatives, provide support services enabling our investment team, and partners with our investment leaders to strengthen oversight, risk controls & regional regulatory engagement. Within the IM Solutions function the Sustainable Investing Solutions team is responsible for supporting global FIL’s proxy voting activities as well as core governance & reporting activates underpinning FIL’s sustainable investment approach.

About your role

As the SI Solutions - Senior Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining documentation, executing core reporting responsibilities, designing & developing automated tools & capability to reduce manual processes for more efficiency and higher accuracy, and provide technical support on database management and business analysis. This role will support FIL’s investment, client services & workplace investing teams to produce reporting, analysis and data used to understand, describe & demonstrate FIL’s approach to sustainable investing.

About you

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a deep understanding of our current & future capabilities, FIL’s product & operational platform. The role will execute a variety of reporting-based deliveries across a broad stakeholder base, actively monitor the overall status of documentation, and proactively prepare & renew essential authorization documents. With the growing understanding on Sustainable Investing reporting functions, the role is expected to work with related stakeholders to deliver technical deliverables on different types of data warehouse related requirements and automation requirements. As data sets & global regulations focused on Sustainable Investing continues to rapidly develop, you will be expected to learn, adapt & evolve deliverables to meet evolving requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate information and data from voting platforms, internal records, and some from third-parties to produce voting and engagement reports.
  • Production of public voting activity disclosure reporting to meet regulations and local stewardship codes.
  • Produce climate reporting & quarterly reporting for Global Platform Solutions.
  • Identify automation opportunities and lead implementation where needed.
  • Support on database development, management, processing and optimizing.
  • Coordinate communications from the investment team and client services on sustainable reporting.
  • Assist on fund screening, bespoke exclusion reporting, and maintenance of supporting processes.   
  • Produce data & reports as well as other administrative tasks required to integrate client facing vendor platforms
  • Assist on general ESG reporting projects and requirements.
  • Maintaining POA documentation and take end to end ownership of all processes.
  • Develop & maintain consolidated, auditable process documentation library.
  • Identify, drive and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Data analytical and automation skills - Python, SQL, PowerBI is required, experience of developing automation tool based on business requirement is highly preferred.
  • Experience with data management tool and database platoform - Snowflake, Azure, etc. is preferred
  • Highly efficient English communication skills in both writing and speaking. Japanese Language skills is preferred.
  • Background in finance related functions or business data reporting & support management is required.
  • Highly sufficient skills in Microsoft Excel, PPT is required.
  • Experience or qualifications within Sustainable Investment subject matters preferred.
  • Experience as Project Manager, Business Analyst, SME is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated learning ability and interest in Investment knowledge. CFA related certificate is highly preferred.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and dedication to manage tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and highly developed teamwork skills
  • Global stakeholder management and global collaboration model experience is highly preferred.
  • A good team player with open-minded, flexible and positive attitude for changes.
  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated to drive business result with a clear career plan.
  • Able to manage stakeholder and deliver high quality work under pressure.
