This position will be responsible for managing the operational readiness and performance of BW Energy shorebase facilities, ensuring safe and reliable logistics support to offshore operations. Serving as the primary focal point between the shorebase and offshore assets, the coordinator will oversee warehousing, cargo handling, and vessel activities while supervising third-party service providers. Additionally, the role involves driving a strong safety culture, monitoring operational KPIs, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to optimize efficiency during drilling, production, and subsea project phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, operational readiness and performance of BW Energy shorebase facilities, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable logistics support to offshore operations.
  • Act as the primary logistics focal point between the shorebase and offshore assets, ensuring alignment of logistics priorities and operational requirements.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings with the FPSO, Wellhead Platform, Drilling Rig and other project stakeholders to support the execution of Project activities.
  • Ensure shorebase readiness to support drilling, production, subsea, construction and project activities throughout all project phases.
  • Monitor and oversee all shorebase activities, including warehousing, yard operations, cargo handling, material staging, vessel support and logistics service providers.
  • Ensure efficient planning and execution of shorebase logistics activities, supporting offshore operations through adequate allocation of resources and services.
  • Monitor vessel activities during shorebase operations, including berth allocation, cargo operations, bunkering activities, water supply and coordination of additional port services when required.
  • Supervise and monitor logistics service providers operating within the shorebase, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, operational requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor shorebase operational performance through KPIs, reports and operational controls, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support the monitoring of logistics contracts, service measurements, proformas and operational invoices related to shorebase activities.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all shorebase operations and contractor activities.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of emergency response plans, waste management procedures and oil spill contingency requirements related to onshore logistics activities.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, service quality and resource utilization.
  • Ensure proper interface between shorebase operations, marine logistics, materials management, offshore units and logistics service providers.
  • Monitor operational non-conformities, incidents and service deviations, ensuring appropriate reporting and follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Support audits, inspections and compliance activities related to shorebase operations and logistics services.
  • Ensure that relevant requirements of the Management System are used as the terms of reference for the activities controlled.
  • Undertake training relevant to the position requirements.
  • On-the-job training of colleagues and trainees.
  • Assist in any other work specified by Department Head.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies or a related field is desirable.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in offshore logistics, shorebase operations, port operations or similar logistics leadership positions.
  • Proven experience supporting offshore drilling, production, subsea, construction or development projects.
  • Previous experience managing logistics service providers, shorebase contracts and offshore support operations.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of offshore logistics, shorebase operations and port logistics.
  • Knowledge of offshore drilling, production, subsea and construction support operations.
  • Knowledge of logistics contracts, contractor management and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Knowledge of cargo handling, vessel support and shorebase logistics activities.
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements applicable to logistics and shorebase operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably IFS or equivalent systems.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.

Skills Required
