Position Details:
Software Engineers design, build, test, deploy, and support products, platforms, and solutions. You will collaborate with other technical Leaders and Analysts to develop the physical design and build solutions that meet the defined functional, quality, performance standards. You will consult with analysts to understand business requirements and to obtain input/insights through reports and research on key problems.
You are responsible for creating and implementing the physical design which includes building, testing, and deploying code; configuring systems; resolving defects; confirming compliance with security, performance and related standards; providing level 2 and 3 technical support; and delivering recommendations to improve systems.
You will understand Now Platform, ServiceNow IT Service Management, IT Business Management. This includes, but is not limited to modules for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, Project Portfolio Management, Agile, CMDB, Service Catalog, Service Portal, Automated Test Framework and Mobile applications.
You will:
- Assists in the development of solutions to meet business requirements and/or technical design documents.
- Adheres to development of solutions to ensure they are flexible, scalable, and meet company standards.
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code
- Develops and maintains ServiceNow configurations, including custom scripts, workflows, and orchestration (Flow Designer)
- Create software documentation, such as testing plans, flow charts and technical documentation.
- Support integrations using IntegrationHub and orchestration, APIs, and related transform maps.
- Tests application code, user interface and third-party integration using Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications, participate in application and platform upgrades.
- Understanding of DevOps
- Participates in Agile SDLC
You have:
- 1-3 years ServiceNow administration development experience including NOW platform, ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITIL, ATF, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer
- Web-based development languages ( JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML)
- Experience with building, and testing web APIs (e.g. REST, websockets)
- Understanding of Python and PowerShell.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
- ServiceNow Certified System Admin a plus
- Work effectively in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Manage multiple and often conflicting tasks; effectively prioritizes.
