Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to build and maintain solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications. The role focuses on hands-on configuration and development — including workflows, Flow Designer, scripting, integrations, UI customization, and platform extensions — while applying best practices that keep the platform clean, upgrade-safe, and performant. The ideal candidate has shipped meaningful ServiceNow work in production, balances declarative and programmatic approaches thoughtfully, and writes maintainable code that survives upgrades and team turnover.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications.
  • Build workflows using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Process Automation Designer where appropriate.
  • Write clean, well-tested server-side and client-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions).
  • Develop scoped applications that follow platform best practices and avoid global-scope pollution.
  • Build integrations with enterprise systems using IntegrationHub spokes, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.
  • Develop catalog items, request workflows, and end-to-end fulfillment automation that simplify how users request services and ensure each request is routed, approved, and executed reliably end-to-end.
  • Implement Service Portal, Employee Center, and custom portal experiences using widgets and AngularJS.
  • Develop and maintain CMDB integrations, identification rules, and data quality improvements.
  • Implement reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics where required, ensuring stakeholders have the operational visibility they need to monitor service performance and make informed decisions.
  • Participate in design reviews, contribute to platform standards, and document technical decisions.
  • Support upgrades, regression testing, and remediation of customizations across releases.
  • Troubleshoot performance, scripting, and integration issues across development, test, and production instances, applying systematic root-cause analysis and contributing durable fixes back to the platform.
  • Collaborate with admins, BAs, and stakeholders to refine requirements and propose pragmatic technical solutions.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases, new features, and emerging best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10 or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong JavaScript skills including ES5/ES6 patterns used in ServiceNow.
  • Deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies.
  • Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
  • Hands-on integration experience using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers.
  • Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts.
  • Experience with Service Portal widget development.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist credentials (ITSM, HR, CSM, ITOM).
  • Experience with Now Assist or GenAI Controller.
  • Familiarity with App Engine Studio.
  • Exposure to multi-instance ServiceNow environments.
