The Leidos Security and Engineering Programs (SEP) is seeking a ServiceNow Developer for the Center for Information Systems Security (CISS) program. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours in Chantilly, VA with as-needed travel to Washington DC or Alexandria, VA (under 25%).

Work Schedule is as follows:

Monday thru Friday: 6AM-2:30PM

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain, support, and troubleshoot an on-prem production ServiceNow instance. Work with customers and end users to develop solutions for requested enhancements in development and sandbox environments before migrating to production. Assist with instance upgrades, including changes to licensing based off requirements and growth. Collaborate with team lead to create roadmap with timelines for project management and reporting purposes.

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 4+ years of prior relevant experience. A High School diploma with an additional 2 years’ relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Interim Top-Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain a Final Top Secret.
 

Technical Requirements:

•Relational databases: Clear understanding of ServiceNow data schemas, table relationships, and dot-walking.

•Web development basics: Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XML

•Scripting & logic: Write and debug clean JavaScript for Client Scripts, Business Rules, and Script Includes.

ServiceNow Platform Knowledge:

•Platform configuration: Modify tables, forms, lists, UI Polices/Actions, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

•Process automation: Build and maintain cross-module workflows using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.

•System administration: Experience with User administration, Groups, and Roles.

•Reporting: Create and share standard dashboards and platform reports.

•Instance hygiene: Understand how to capture changes using Update Sets.

•Generalist development: Support, configure, and customize features across multiple modules including ITSM and custom applications.

Soft Skills & Delivery:

•Adaptability: Willingness to pivot quickly between different platform modules and diverse business requests.

•Requirements translation: Ability to turn basic business requests into functional platform configurations.

•Problem solving: Troubleshoot basic platform errors and user issues.

•Communication: Ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders.

Couse Completion:

•ServiceNow Fundamentals course

•IAT II Certification

•One of the following active certifications or the ability to obtain within one month of hire: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, or other ServiceNow certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

•ITIL v3 Foundations Certification

•ServiceNow API experience, such as REST and SOAP

•Experience with ServiceNow on-prem.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
