A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workday specialist/consultant to join our team. The consultant will be responsible for the system implementation (including additional modules), configuration, and ongoing administration of Workday HCM and support our data, analytics and reporting requirements. This role involves working closely with various stakeholder to understand business requirements and deliver customised solutions that enhance our HR system.


The role also requires strong expertise in Workday reporting, analytics, data analysis including building dashboards and additionally leveraging Excel, Power BI to derive people-related insights, themes and opportunities for improvement/action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the implementation and configuration of Workday modules, including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, employee engagement and Learning modules

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, and translate them into effective customised Workday solutions

  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards and analytics within Workday to meet business needs

  • Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing and UAT (user acceptance testing), to ensure solutions meet business requirements

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of Workday applications, including troubleshooting issues and performing periodic system updates and new releases

  • Deliver training and support to end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using Workday functionality

  • Stay updated on Workday releases and enhancements, and recommend new features or changes to improve system functionality

  • Work with external vendors and partners as needed to support Workday projects and initiatives

  • Document processes, configurations and procedures for future reference and compliance purposes

  • Provide daily support for Workday processes and support configuration requirements for all HCM business processes.

  • Work closely with the P&C team to troubleshoot and resolve issues

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Workday system

  • Build and maintain Workday dashboards and other analytics to support people decision-making

  • Utilise Workday reporting processes to generate insights, additionally utilising Excel and/or Power BI to derive more complex data insights

  • Be willing to share knowledge and upskill our team where possible.

A BIT ABOUT YOU
  • Certification in Workday HCM or other Workday modules is highly desirable

  • Proven experience as a Workday Consultant or similar role, with hands-on experience in Workday implementation and configuration

  • In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM and other modules such as Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Engagement and Learning

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Strong understanding of the HCM Workday module and experience troubleshooting issues

  • Strong capability in Workday reporting, dashboarding and analytics

  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of other data visualisation tools or similar is a plus

  • Ability to interpret data and provide change solutions

Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Workday Consultant with hands-on Workday implementation and configuration
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM and related modules (Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Engagement, Learning)
  • Strong Workday reporting, dashboarding and analytics experience
  • Experience building dashboards and using Excel for data analysis
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Certification in Workday HCM or other Workday modules
  • Experience with system testing including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
  • Experience providing end-user training and support for Workday functionality
  • Experience troubleshooting Workday issues and performing periodic updates and new releases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
