Responsibilities:
- Oversee subsea/ technical operations and maintenance, ensuring safety, seaworthiness, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure vessels are available for statutory and classification society surveys/inspections within required timelines.
- Plan and prepare specifications for:
- Dry-docking and emergency repairs.
- Calling for tenders, evaluating bids, awarding contracts, supervising repairs, and settling repair bills.
- Develop specifications and plans for:
- Structural modifications or alterations.
- Machinery upgrades/replacements, including approvals from classification societies.
- Manage all technical aspects of the vessel, including the Subsea Department.
- Provide technical input for company projects as needed.
- Perform the role of Designated Person Ashore (DPA).
- Handle recruitment and engagement of staff for Technical Services, Engine, and Subsea Departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager/CEO.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the offshore industry on a larger vessel.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system used on offshore lager vessels. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing engines, pumps, generators, and other equipment.
- Strong leadership who can effectively manage and motivate team and communicate clearly, and making decision in a timely manner.
- Familiar with industry regulations and best practice and ensure that operations are conducted safely and responsibly.
