Roles and Responsibilities
The proposed role will serve as a senior technical integrator and problem-solving lead with the ability to:
- Carry out technical reviews and align problem-solving resolutions
- Articulate high-complexity technical challenges clearly across different levels of key stakeholders
- Develop and communicate an aligned strategy to direct cross-functional teams toward closure
- Coordinate resolution activities across NRI engineering, special process engineering, repair qualification engineering, and repair shop teams
- Serve as a focal point for technical challenges originating from “Andon” tickets and facilitate execution of “Forge” project activities.
- Strong engagement with Technical Leaders and Controlled Title Holders to promote technical rigor and risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Master/ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience (Preferable in manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment)
- Travel to repair centers, customer sites, and other locations as needed globally (~10%)
Desired Characteristics
- Industrial gas turbine design, repair, or manufacturing experience with background in special processes (machining, joining, coating, inspection, etc.)
- Lean training or equivalent quality training
- Strong mechanical design and analytical background
- Ability and established track record with project management to resolve complex tasks or problems and drive projects to completion
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization functions.
- Demonstrated mentorship of colleagues with less experience
- Proven ability to identify and integrate best practices.
Skills Required
