Overview

Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come to collaborate, envision what can be and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and the sky is the limit thinking in a cloud-enabled world.

Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.

Within Microsoft Fabric, the Platform team builds and operates the unified foundation that brings together all Fabric workloads into a single, cohesive experience. The platform provides shared infrastructure, governance, security, and a unified data model that enables customers to manage their entire data estate in one place. This team is central to delivering Fabric as a complete, end-to-end intelligence platform.

The Fabric Quality and Reliability team is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive Fabric's Rhythm of Business (ROB), governance, and operational excellence processes across multiple organizations. Service quality is a top organizational priority, and this role is responsible for bringing together engineering, operations, and leadership teams to establish a consistent quality bar, drive accountability, and ensure quality and reliability improvements are executed effectively at scale. This role leads cross-organizational review processes, governance frameworks, and operational mechanisms that transform service health signals, risks, and priorities into measurable actions and outcomes. The successful candidate will partner across teams to improve visibility into service health, establish trusted metrics and reporting, drive alignment on priorities, and ensure commitments are tracked and delivered.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution. Responsibilities include identifying quality gaps across customer scenarios, defining and standardizing success metrics, improving the consistency and trustworthiness of telemetry and reporting, and driving process improvements that scale across organizations. The candidate will leverage data-driven insights, automation, and AI-assisted capabilities to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen decision-making.

This role is ideal for a Technical Program Manager who thrives in ambiguity, can lead complex cross-organizational programs, and has a proven track record of driving execution, governance, accountability, and measurable business outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
