The ideal Technical Consultant is a demonstrated thought leader in technical aspects of customer and partner engagements that lead to the successful delivery of enterprise desktop, cloud, and/or mobile solutions, including enterprise integrations leveraging middleware tools and platforms. Developers deliver technical solutions to meet the customer’s business and technical requirements. Developers lead the evaluation of options and subsequent presentation and education of the customer/partner. They will also identify and proactively manage risk areas, and commit to seeing issues through to complete resolution
Your Impact
Participate in the full application life cycle - design, development, testing, and deployment
Interact with customers, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure customer success
Design, develop and integrate Salesforce apps and components with back-office systems using modern web tools and technologies
Develop proofs of concept as needed during the design and requirements phase to evaluate products and integration strategies
Validate application code using unit tests, security tests, and profiling tools
Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments
Produce project documentation, including functional and technical designs, and end-user guides
Travel is infrequent, varying with consultant preference and client requirements
Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of experience in design and implementation using Salesforce.com tec
Skill and passion for programming and technology
Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
* Skilled in Java, C#, or comparable OOP language
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with modern IDEs (VSCode, IntelliJ) and SCM tools (Git, SVN)
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability and desire to learn new technologies and development tools
A creative mindset to apply innovative approaches to software design
Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment with a large team of like-minded developers
Understanding of relational databases, data modelling, and SQL
Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative subject area. Equivalent demonstrable work experience instead of a degree will be considered
Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various levels within a large organisation
Application design and development background
Travel may be required and varies depending on the client's requirements
A Strong Enterprise Architecture background would be favorable
Relevant Salesforce experience is desired
