About the Role
The Senior Technical Consultant supports a work stream in sophisticated enterprise customer engagements, partnering with key stakeholders to achieve the vision while completing key deliverables. They serve as hands-on advisors — using strong solution, technical, and product knowledge, plus industry and consulting experience — to deliver customer ROI.
Senior Technical Consultants demonstrate thought leadership in technical aspects of customer and partner engagements, leading to successful delivery of enterprise desktop, cloud, and/or mobile solutions, including enterprise integrations via middleware tools and platforms. They lead the evaluation of options, present and educate customers/partners, and proactively manage risk areas through to resolution.
Your Impact — Responsibilities
- Become a highly certified and recognized Salesforce expert
- Help clients consistently meet/exceed goals and metrics
- Contribute to customer success through front- and back-end solution development and release management
- Deliver high client satisfaction (CSAT)
- Guide application/integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce Platform education
- Up-skill on AI Fluency and AI-Native delivery methodology, using AI tools and developer assistants (e.g., Agentforce Vibes, Cursor, Claude) and agentic evaluation frameworks to accelerate delivery
- Build relationships with internal and external business partners, contributing to broader goals beyond a single customer engagement
- Drive creation of application and technical design documents that leverage Salesforce best practices and integrate Salesforce into customer infrastructure
- Troubleshoot key implementation issues and drive them to resolution; lead evaluation of business/technical requirements at a senior level
- Proactively identify and manage risk areas through to complete resolution
- Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with customers and third-party partners
- Contribute to Services Practice growth by leading internal strategic initiatives, mentoring junior teammates, and enriching technical/non-technical knowledge for customers and colleagues
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years as a Lead Developer doing solution design in a mid-to-large organization, with demonstrated leadership driving organizational transformation in a matrixed org
- Experience with enterprise architecture areas: integration technologies, single sign-on, master data management
- Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
- Self-starter with proven results leading customer/partner success across front- and back-end architecture, development, release management, and change management
- Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
- Skilled at guiding customers and colleagues in adopting emerging technologies that drive business value
- Polished speaker able to evangelize best practices at various organizational levels
- Genuine interest in studying new technologies and pushing the limits of existing ones
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, tailored to the audience
- Strong presentation skills — able to present and defend a point of view to varied audiences
- Willingness to travel to client sites (avg. 25%, may vary by engagement)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or related field
