I. Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Filings: Oversee and ensure accurate calculation, review, and timely filing of all tax obligations with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), VAT, and withholding taxes.
- Tax Audits & Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for BIR tax audits, examinations, and regulatory inquiries to minimize tax risks.
- Tax Policy & Advisory: Monitor the latest Philippine tax laws and regulatory updates, providing tax planning and compliance advice for fintech/cross-border payment operations.
- Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with the finance team on month-end closing and review tax-related clauses in business contracts.
II. Requirements
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related fields. Philippine CPA license is preferred.
- Experience: 4-7+ years of tax experience, preferably with "Big 4" accounting firm background or working in multinational/fintech/internet companies.
- Professional Skills: In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR electronic filing systems.
- Language: Fluent in English for professional written and verbal communication.
