Senior Tax Manager

 We're looking for someone who:

• Has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a similar position within an international company.
• Experience in the online and/or gaming industry is a plus.
• An analytical mind, precise, methodical, and organized.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Knowledge of MS Dynamics
• Team player with an independent approach, and eagerness to meet deadlines and increase efficiency
• Lateral thinker with a creative and flexible approach to tax management.
• Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Good written and oral communication skills in both Portuguese and English. 

What you'll be doing:

Although there is a degree of freedom in shaping your role together with your leader, as a Sr. Tax Manager you can expect to be responsible for:

1. Tax Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including all applicable taxes to the company at federal, state and municipal levels.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of tax reports to government authorities.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of tax filings and payments.
• Develop transfer pricing documentation
2. Tax Planning and Strategy:
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Advise management on the tax implications of business activities and transactions.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
3. Audit and Risk Management:
• Coordinate and manage tax audits and inspections conducted by tax authorities.
• Handle inquiries and disputes with tax authorities, ensuring favourable outcomes for the company.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks by implementing effective internal controls.
• Manage intercompany and cross border reconciliations.
• Prepare recurrent Book to Return reconciliations.
4. Advisory and Support:
• Provide tax-related advice and support to various departments within the company.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and legal counsel as needed.
• Assist in financial planning and analysis from a tax perspective.
• Work in alignment on all tax matters with the Group Tax team located in Bucharest and the relevant business stakeholders.  Share info and deliver reports.
