Job Overview
This role will report to the Head of Tax. This position will perform a wide variety of tax related duties to help support and execute on all direct and indirect taxes applicable to the company.
Responsibilities:

Prepare work papers for and prepare or review federal, state, and foreign direct and indirect tax returns.

Prepare partnership allocation calculations.

Compute, monitor, and submit estimated and other tax payments.

Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to reconcile and support various pretax and income tax balances.

Prepare or review monthly/quarterly tax related journal entries.

Prepare global tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including SEC financial statement disclosures.

Perform and document tax processes for SOX purposes.

Research and document items for tax return and financial reporting purposes.

Reconcile and monitor global indirect tax balances and ensure tax returns are filed appropriately, accurately, and on time.

Maintain and update client information related to indirect tax, such as exemption certificates.

Participate in the preparation and documentation of various annual tax projects, such as global transfer pricing documentation and R&D tax credits.

Monitor tax department obligations and support compliance with various taxes, such as property taxes, rent taxes, etc…

Triage and resolve tax notices.

Own various ad hoc projects, as needed.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related certification, such as a CPA license.

Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.

Ability to independently resolve problems where analysis requires in-depth evaluation of several factors.

Experience with Up-C structures, partnerships, and/or Tax Receivable Agreements a plus.
