Senior Systems Analyst (Special Project) (26270153)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in examining and analysing existing IT systems and business models and developing innovative solutions. Your expertise in software development lifecycles and your ability to translate client requirements into highly specified project briefs will be critical in driving successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data transfer;
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of software development lifecycles, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance;
  • Collaborate with clients to translate their requirements into highly specified project briefs, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives;
  • Develop innovative solutions and undertake product development, leveraging your technical expertise and industry best practices;
  • Create and maintain comprehensive testing schedules for complete systems, ensuring rigorous quality assurance and adherence to project timelines;
  • Provide expert support to users on change control and system updates, ensuring minimal disruption to operations;
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs and user manuals for users of new systems, facilitating smooth adoption and maximising system utilisation; and
  • Perform other IT projects and assignments as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system development and integration;
  • Advantageous to possess hands-on solid proven experience in at least two of the following development languages/tools: PHP, Java, NodeJS, SQL, MS Power Platform, and ETL tools;
  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, with a focus on software development;
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles and methodologies;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex system issues;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; and
  • Certification in relevant areas such as ITIL or Agile methodologies is a plus.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for up to two years.  Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Skills Required
