Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 676,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.
We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,300 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. Read our operating principles to see it in full.
We hire successful builders with founder-like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you're motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.
You're humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you “get stuff done” end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you'll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let's build what's next.
What You'll Do
As an Account Executive, Payments & Billing, you will drive net-new revenue across SME, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments in Asia. You will own the full sales cycle end-to-end, unlocking adoption for Airwallex’s payments, invoicing, and subscription platforms. Partnering closely with Product and Engineering, you will solve complex revenue workflows for clients and shape how our core billing infrastructure scales across the region. This role is based in Singapore or Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
Revenue Generation: Drive net-new adoption of Airwallex's Payments and Billing solutions—including card acquiring, alternative payment methods, invoicing, and subscription management—across SME, Mid-Market, and Enterprise prospects across Asia.
Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Own the complete sales cycle across your territory, from prospecting and qualification through to solution design, complex multi-stakeholder negotiation, close, and handover to post-sales teams, while consistently delivering against net-new customer acquisition and revenue targets.
Solution Architecture: Lead structured discovery to understand customers' billing, payments, and revenue workflows, then collaborate with Product, Solutions Engineering, and other internal experts to architect tailored solutions that combine Airwallex's Payments, Billing, and broader financial capabilities (including card acquiring, local payment methods, Global Accounts, and FX).
Executive Presentations: Lead high‑quality presentations and demos tailored to multiple stakeholders—including C-level decision-makers (CFO, CTO, CEO, and Head of Payments)—clearly articulating the commercial and operational value of Airwallex Billing & Payments.
Network & Business Development: Leverage your industry network across Asia to open doors, secure new high-value customers, and create references, including case studies, early adopter testimonials, and joint success stories.
Cross-Functional Go-To-Market: Partner closely with Strategy, Revenue Operations, and Product Marketing to build targeted campaigns, market segmentation, and localized sales plays that accelerate payments and billing adoption in the Asian market.
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM hygiene to give clear visibility of coverage, risks, and opportunities across your regional territory.
